New

Hey peeps. It's been a while since I last posted. The main reason is that.......drum roll......I'm pregnant with our 4th baby! The first trimester and into the second I had very bad morning sickness, per usual. I'm still having nausea but it's much better. I'm starting to feel more normal again and oh baby, it feels good! A baby boy will be joining our little tribe this fall and we couldn't be happier.

As I start feeling better my creative energy picks up again. I've made a few new paintings lately. Here are some pics of the latest. I'll post more when it's done.

Thank you for visiting. I hope to post more now that I'm feeling better. I hope you are having a great spring!

Xoxo

Precious Family

I made this painting for a dear friend. We did an exchange. She knitted a beautiful sweater for my baby, and I made this painting for her. I love a good creative exchange!

Good morning

I'm feeling grateful for the little things this morning. Creamy coffee in my mug, art supplies galore just waiting for me to come and play. Three kids at home (my oldest doesn't have school today due to the cold!) playing and laughing. A warm home to live in. Our lovely giant bed we call the cloud. Pain medicine that eases my arthritis. Plans for a fun day ahead.

Wishing you a creative day today. Thanks for visiting!

Shop update! And new paintings :)

Hey peeps, I have a couple of new paintings to share :) These were done with heavy body acrylics, and a pallet knife. I love the feel of the paint, and the process of painting with a knife. I am excited to do more.

16 x 20 acrylic on canvas

11 x 14 acrylic on canvas

In other news, I did a shop update to include new goodies. Greeting cards! I'm really happy to share these with you. Right now I have 6 designs available. I've added 5 new painted stones, as well as 3 garlands. Take a look!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. My oldest has the day off of school tomorrow and we're going to sleep in. Woohoo! Simple pleasures :)

New struggles and new art

Hello friends! Thank you for continuing to visit me. Life has been full and I haven't had a whole lot of time to come here but I'm happy to be back.

A few months ago, after many months of knee pain I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. It has gotten progressively worse lately and I've been struggling with chronic pain. Next month I will start a series of injections to hopefully give me relief from the pain, and increased mobility. At some point in the future (but hopefully not the near near future) I will have knee replacements. If anyone of you have experience with this, please comment and share any wisdom you may have. I try to stay positive, but there are days when I feel sad that I can't do as much anymore, or frustrated with the pain.

My husband has been my rock, my absolute hero throughout this struggle. He is kind, supportive, uplifting, and keeps me laughing. My family and friends have been very kind as well. After them, the thing that really keeps me going is my art. I have been collecting lots of supplies the past couple of months and I've been experimenting with them as the days go by. On my worst days, when it hurts to walk, I find refuge in sitting with my kiddos and a pile of art supplies and just getting lost in the moment. I've been painting, scrap booking, crafting, and writing. Here are some of my creations. I hope you are well and happy, wherever life finds you right now.

With love,
Lisa
