Home

As soon as we walked into our new house it felt like home. I am really excited to settle in and resume our normal schedule.

I made some painted stones to put on the front porch. These things are totally addictive! I'm enjoying each and every stone I paint. They are all different but all are fun to decorate. All you need is some basic acrylic paint and a paint brush and you're off! Try it :)

more painted stones!

With all of my things being packed in boxes I've been finding little bits of creativity where I can. Painting stones is an easy way for me to do something creative and fun. I've been collecting rocks from my parents yard. I bought about 10 bottles of cheap craft paint from Michael's and a couple of brushes. That's all I need to create these little bits :) It's really been helping with the stress of moving and feeling out of sorts.

Hello from Michigan :) We arrived 11 days ago and have been enjoying
lots of time with our family. We move into our new house in a couple of weeks
and we are very excited! In the meantime, I'm finding little moments to create,
and find the beauty in every day things. This gorgeous tulip was blooming in my
sisters yard. Isn't the color just stunning?

The other night while watching the season finale of Mr. Selfridge, I made
this doodle as a reminder to choose joy. For me it's a choice to be made daily.

TTFN!!!!

Hello friends. I'm stopping by to say hello, and goodbye. We are making our big move next week and my blog will probably be quiet for a little bit. For Hubs and me, this will be our 4th (major) move in 6 years. Add to that 3 babies, 1 PhD, 135 original works of art, and many wonderful people along the way. I am full of gratitude, and very, very tired!! Wish us luck, and I'll see you on the other side. <3

Love,
Lisa

Painted stones

I've been enjoying the simple pleasure of painting stones. I collect them as I find them and in the evenings lately I've been painting them as a form of relaxation. They are my new favorite!

Easy project

This yarn-covered wreath was in the Target easter section as soon as we had signs of spring. I was eyeing it but decided to wait until after Easter to get it, when it would be 70% off . Sure enough, I found it in the clearance section and bought it for $3.84! Score! I also had these buttons that I had bought for a dollar per pack. Last night, after a very long day I wanted to do something creative that wasn't complicated. So I got out my hot glue gun, grabbed the wreath, and two packs of buttons and went to town. The result is a funk-a-fied wreath for our front door!
